Firefox - Change language of the browser

About

During my mission in Italy, I had to work on a italian computer with Firefox in … Italian (sic). Obviously, it was not easy for me to understand all the options since I’m used to use Firefox in English (not in French either). By looking on Google DuckDuckGo, I found a way to change the language without reinstalling Firefox :-)

HowTo

  1. Download the right language pack on https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/language-tools/
  2. Open “about:config”, accept the risks
  3. Search for “intl.locale.requested” and if it does not exist (it was the case for me), create a new string key named “intl.locale.requested” ;-)
  4. Change/set the value to your downloaded language pack (ie: en-US, fr-FR, etc.)
